MAJOR ADVANTAGES...
POLYURETHANE at high durometer readings, good elongation and high tensile strength are among the more outstanding characteristics of polyurethane rubber. In addition, POLYURETHANE offers excellent abrasion and tear strength plus good resistance to ozone and oxygen. Low coefficient of friction makes polyurethane suitable for many other applications.POLYURETHANE can be produced in sponge or solid rubber. We produce solid polyurethane in a durometer hardness of 10 Shore A up to 75 Shore D. POLYURETHANE can be cast & ground into washers, sleeves, and is often used for roller covers.
LIMITATIONS...
POLYURETHANE rubber is not recommended for applications involving exposure to acids and alkalis, although resistance to aliphatic solvents and cold water are quite good. POLYURETHANE is not recommended for temperatures above 140 degrees F.
Polyurethane Chemical Designation: Polyester or Polyether Urethane
